Thomas Heimstad playing the guitar during a concert in The Netherlands

I was born in 1989 in Bergen, Norway, and I started learning the guitar at the age of eight with Tino Andersen. In 2012 I completed my Bachelor degree in Bergen at the Grieg Academy with professor Stein-Erik Olsen, including one year as an Erasmus student with professor Marco Socías at Musikene in San Sebastián, Spain.

In 2015 I earned a master of music degree, graduating cum laude from the Royal Conservatoire Den Haag, the Netherlands. For two years I received lessons with professor Zoran Dukíc, the most award-winning classical guitarist of all time.

I can play a variety of pieces for any occasion: From Renaissance, through Spanish romantic, to contemporary and popular music. I am also involved with several ensembles with large repertoires. Go ahead and listen to my recordings. If you like my playing, feel free to find the contact section on the main page, and get in touch!
